  • Who do you work with?

    I work with adults (aged 18+)

    I welcome enquiries from adults of all ages, ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, genders, sexualities, relationship types, religious beliefs, social classes and from disabled and neurodivergent people.

    I'm committed to providing an anti-oppressive therapy practice and this takes on-going learning and reflection from myself.

  • When are you available?

    I’m currently offering in-person sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays.

    I also offer online sessions and have availability for these Monday - Friday.

  • Where are your in-person sessions?

    In-person sessions are available at Edinburgh Therapy Centre.

    The centre is a short walk from the shore tram stop in Leith.

  • What are your fees?

    Counselling sessions are £60 for 50 minutes.

    Prior to the first session, I offer a free 15 minute phone or Teams call so you can see if I’m a good fit for you.

  • What do I need to access online sessions?

    To access online sessions, it’s important to have access to a private space where you’ll be uninterrupted for the session.

    I offer sessions through Microsoft Teams.

  • Do you work with couples?

    No, I currently only work with individuals.

    If you're looking for couples counselling, you may wish to search COSRT, Pink Therapy or contact your nearest Relationships Scotland service.

    If you're looking for individual therapy to explore your experience in relationships, I'd be happy to hear from you.

  • How frequent are sessions?

    Most of my sessions are offered on a weekly basis.

    I offer a limited number of fortnightly slots too. Fortnightly sessions are currently only available online.

  • How long will counselling last?

    I support clients both short-term and long-term.

    I appreciate that counselling can be a big investment and am happy to discuss working in a time-limited way to work within your budget if this is a concern.

    For short-term counselling, I would recommend no less than 6-8 sessions.

  • When will I hear back from you?

    I respond to queries directly to my email hello@hannahfordtherapy.com or via my contact page, within 2 business days at the most.

    Please check your junk mail if you still haven’t received a reply from me after 2 business days.

    During time of scheduled leave I may be slower responding to new enquiries.
